George Michael created The Mill Charitable Trust in 2009. Its unassuming name represents how he gave during his lifetime, often anonymously, under the radar and without fanfare. Since George’s passing, his family and executors have carried on his charitable work with funds augmented by the sale of his private art collection in 2019 and they have now decided to continue that work using the title THE GEORGE MICHAEL FUND to ensure that his charitable legacy lives on.
To help his philanthropic legacy continue to make a difference to people’s lives, The Mill Charitable Trust is working with The Talent Fund, who will now manage The George Michael Fund on its behalf and will continue to proactively give grants to assist the organisations and issues which were close to George’s heart and which he would have been proud to support.
Please note that neither THE GEORGE MICHAEL FUND nor its trustees are able to respond to funding enquiries.
The Talent Fund is a registered charity with a mission to make philanthropy purposeful and easy. Founded in 2019 by Kevin Cahill CBE, following over 20 years as Comic Relief’s CEO, The Talent Fund has to date made over £3 million of charitable grants in the UK and internationally.
